Re demographics. As a " historically black college" with black students from around the world, does the school discourage Caucasian students? Would such student be harassed ?

Hi Leah, although Howard is a historically black college, the university is open to all students. The student population also includes those who identify as white, Native American, Asian and Hispanic.

Howard welcomes students from all backgrounds to its university. Some of the students might be a little uncomfortable with white students on campus but overall they are welcome to all backgrounds. Though being an HBCU much of campus life, curriculum, etc, is centered around black history, culture, and pride.

I wouldnt look at the acceptance rate to judge if you can get in. Look at average test scores and gpa. But your best bet is to apply. Good luck.
