My daughter thinks NCU and Duke are superior..how can I convince her NC State is worth a look

It greatly depends on your major and interests. The pros for NCSU vs others mentioned is that NCSU has higher starting salaries than UNC, MUCH lower tuition than Duke, and is generally the best value in the state. STEM programs excel at NCSU, and more undergrads from NCSU get accepted to UNC medical school than do UNC undergrads - that should tell you something. If you plan to major in a non stem field, the choice should boil down to location you prefer and value.
