One of the Most Important Choices in My Life

It's been over 20 years since I graduated, but looking over the long arc of my life I would say Syracuse made a huge difference in my life. Its a big school with lots of opportunity that requires you to go make it happen for yourself. Everything is there for you to get what you need to be prepared in life. From the amazing professors, to the semester abroad programs, to the on-campus activities, there were all kinds of ways to learn and grow over the four years as an undergrad. I couldn't be more proud to be an alum and recommend it more strongly.

My son loves SU! The teachers are very approachable and helpful and he has easily made friends in his dorm. Compared to other schools, the dorms are pretty nice by the way. Most of his classes have fewer than 20 students. The two exceptions are his stats intro class (which has smaller sections with a TA) and his media and society class (a Newhouse requirement). I am impressed with the support offered by student health and the office of disabilities. They even offer pet therapy! The Newhouse School offers one of the best communications programs in the US. The Falk School was one of the first in the country to offer a sports analytics program. It is definitely a school with a ton of school spirit.

Really great institution!

I attended SU as a grad student but I can't this great school enough high marks. It's was critical for launching my career in the digital space and was very forward thinking. Potential students, you can go wrong here. If I were to give it any criticism it would be the cost of attendance.

Excellent Academics, Vibrant Campus, Strong Alumni Network

My four years at Syracuse were a wonderful experience. I truly enjoyed my classes and felt the instructors were excellent and course material was interesting and challenging. There are countless groups, activities and events truly something for everyone even if you're not into Greek life (I wasn't). Post-grad I have found our alumni network to be strong and supportive. Overall SU is top notch.

Such a well-balanced experience

Your education is not just in the classroom.... Yes, we have excellent research teams. Yes, the athletics are great too, but the involvement of the students on campus is what makes Syracuse great! Everyone you meet at Syracuse is in at least one organization(club, greek life, sport, etc.), most of the students are in 2 or more (campus survey, 2018). The professors not only understand, but they encourage you to get involved. At Syracuse you will have the time to make life long friends and memories, which I guarantee will take you much farther and leave you more satisfied than a perfect GPA and a caffeine addiction that you might get from another school.
