Happy Graduate

I attended a large, public University for my bachelor degree and was happy with my education. I attended Travecca for my master degree and am even happier. The smallness of classes and the connections students can make to staff is unexplainable. If you work hard, you will earn a fair grade. If you don't understand and need help, your instructors are available to help if you take the initiative to ask. The classes are not easy and if you have a teammate not carrying their weight you need to let your instructor know so that you will be graded accordingly; but you still need to pick up the pieces your teammate left behind like you would in a real work situation.

I attended Trevecca as an undergrad and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I was hired on not long after and have enjoyed being on that side as well. Now I am pursuing a graduate degree and have learned a fair amount of information thus far. The other reviews rating the university poorly are not good representations of the school. Grades are fair if you put in the proper work. Tuition refund schedules are also clearly posted on the site. Trevecca is also not as quick to send students to collections as other universities are and does not demand that "tuition be paid by the first day of classes or you will be dropped" as is the practice of many universities (a reasonable amount of time is provided). Areas that could use some improvement include course/teaching consistency, improved dining/housing, and better parking options. Leadership at the university is pretty solid (respectable leaders). Overall, safety is surprisingly good for the location. On the employee side, similarly to the student side, if you exert a reasonable amount of effort and are dedicated to helping students and the university move forward, then you will do well and have the chance to move up in the organization.

Unorganized and Not equal

The graduate program is a mess. I would not recommend anyone going there to get an MBA. Professors grade unfair and late. If you go to your advisor or the director they let the professors do what they want. I received an unfair grade and they did nothing to change it. I would go somewhere else if I didn't have 7 months left.

A for profit and deceptive university

I was charged for classes that I dropped withing the given deadline. Communication with staff is terrible and online classes are horribly repetitive. Even though it was an error on their part with my classes not being dropped correctly they still came after me with collections when I refused to pay. A dishonest and non credible university.

MBA 2017

This is a Nazarene school and as such religion will be part of your study; however, it's not overwhelming or in your face and acts more as an ethical and moral foundation. I found this to be especially important in going forward in an MBA. As soon as I stepped on campus I felt at ease with my guidance counselor and the support administrative and finance offices. Trevecca is small enough that you are not just a number and there are students from various backgrounds that you'll work and interact closely with. I took classes both in person and online. In both environments my professors were helpful, kind, and responsive. I went through my classes full time in a cohort helping me to make connections within my class and I found it also made it easier to accomplish group projects since we already knew each other from previous classes. Within my last couple of classes I received a promotion and I credit this to the quality of education I received as well as the confidence it gave me. I'm a proud alumna of Trevecca and thoroughly enjoyed the full experience I had.
