I am elated to see DBU is now ranked nationally instead of regionally. While the ranking is 221, which will not be for long, I can speak by experience that DBU is an exceptional school. When I came to DBU I had previously transferred five times (an HBCU, private Catholic & Methodist universities, public university, and a community college) due to life situations. However, DBU made it possible for me to transfer the majority of my credits. Additionally, I love the way DBU integrates Christian values and biblical principles in the curriculum which allows the student to garner an attitude of servant leadership. I not only completed my undergrad program at DBU, but their MBA program as well. This is how much I believe in what DBU stands for and how they educate students. If they had a PhD program in the area of my interest I can tell you I would definitely be there. I know the future will only be brighter for DBU as long as they continue to stand for truth, even if unpopular, and educate students with this truth!

I could not imagine a better school...

Being a private University, DBU is extremely expensive, but if you are looking to earn a legitimate degree while learning in a faith-integrated environment, then this is the place to go. Having come from a public high school, I can attest that there is an apparent difference between the two environments. Everyone here is so friendly, and almost every professor actually express a caring attitude towards each student. This is my third year here, and even though I'm eager to graduate, I know that I will miss this beautiful campus and all the people that fill it. Since I don't live on campus, I can't say what the dorm conditions are like or speak much to the student life/fraternities. Even so, I have managed to make a lot of friends, and my initial lack of connections actually encouraged me to reach out and talk to more people. I think it is part of the reason I am now able to strike up a conversation with almost anyone whereas previously I might have struggled to do so. I also benefit greatly from the smaller class sizes since I am often too shy to ask questions in larger groups. The fact that everything is brought back to a Christian perspective has not only allowed me to better form my already-held beliefs, but also enhanced my ability to share these beliefs with others. As a biology major hoping to minor in Christian studies, these skills will prove useful to me if I am ever able to meet the goal I believe God has placed in my heart. I am truly truly honored and blessed to be attending this university, and I would recommend it to anyone who yearns to know more of God and is ready to embark on their journey for a college-level education.
