Average school- wouldn't attend again
By B-Man, From Harrogate, TN
This school is just average I would say. The setting is good if you like being in a rural environment but other than the occasional restaurant or store there's almost nothing to do at night or on the weekends. The school doesn't really take their students opinions into account. For example, they recently destroyed the broadcasting building, for no reason, that was used by communications majors and also recently cancelled their music program as well. They're basically trying to make the entire school a nursing, vet tech, vet, business, and medical school. It seems like, from a student perspective, that the school is trying to get rid of the arts and humanities department altogether. They're also creating new rules for financial gain rather than taking students' success or opinions into account. For example, at the end of the Fall 2018 semester students were sent a letter 3 days before Christmas break telling them they had to pay their full Spring 2019 balance immediately or move out. This is a change to how the policy previously was, requiring you to pay before the first day of classes in January. Students were then even more stressed because they had to come up with thousands of dollars and also juggle the extreme stresses of finals week. This, along with destroying many of the arts and humanities majors, shows how little they value students' opinions or satisfaction with the school overall. If I could do it over again I would most likely attend another close by university such as ETSU or UTK. If LMU wants to retain students and enroll more new students they need to start listening to what their students have to say and quit ignoring them to make a quick buck.

MBA
By Randy 2006, From Belleaire Bluffs, FL
I needed a masters degree to qualify for a job promotion. LMU provided a schedule that fit my work life and challenging MBA curriculum. I took the classes off campus close to home and finished successfully. Great instruction from qualified professors that had real world experience. I would recommend LMU to anyone looking for a MBA that has useful course content.

Small classes with dedicated and demanding faculty
By Van N. 1970, From Albuquerque, NM
Both high schools I attended were nightmares! In the first I was teased and bullied almost every day, and in the second I was lost in a graduating class of just under 1,000. LMU enabled me to flourish intellectually and socially. The small classes coupled with a dedicated and demanding faculty made identifying a career path and graduate school (Virginia Tech) simple formalities.
