Curricula Descriptions

Full-time program

GU's MBA prepares students to be effective problem solvers in core and career-related disciplines. Combining our global and Jesuit heritage, we provide an integrative learning experience that trains globally minded, principled leaders in service to business and society. A highlight is the Global Experience, where students tackle real business problems for companies operating around the world.

Executive program

The Executive MBA is designed to allow working professionals to earn an advanced business degree without interrupting their careers. The program begins in August and spans 20 months. Classes are held on Fridays and Saturdays of alternating weeks in addition to two international and two domestic week-long residencies, which immerse students in real-world business projects. In the first year, EMBA students master the fundamentals of business. The second year is tailored, with students completing three advanced business courses focused on relationships between geopolitics and business, as well as seven electives.

Part-time program

The Flex MBA core curriculum is the same as the Full-time MBA program, but is delivered over 2.5 to 5 years in formats conducive to the schedule of working professionals, including online or Saturday electives. The Flex MBA is AACSB accredited and shares the same faculty as the Full-time MBA program. A student must successfully complete a minimum of 60 credits to earn the MBA degree.

Specialty master's program

Georgetown McDonough’s Master of Science in Management (MiM) program is a 10-month, STEM designated, full time program designed for recent undergraduates from all backgrounds with 0-3 years of work experience looking for a way to launch their careers. Choosing the MiM program means choosing a globally engaged community with a focus on building the technology and innovation skills necessary to be competitive while doing business for good. The Master of Arts in International Business and Policy (MA-IBP) is offered by Georgetown’s Walsh School of Foreign Service and McDonough School of Business. It is a one-year interdisciplinary program that provides an understanding of the frameworks and mechanisms that drive business and international relations and explores those concepts in contemporary global issues. The program is delivered in six one-week modules (four on-campus and two international) and two four-week online courses over a 12-month period. The M.S. in Finance is a two-year program that uses a revolutionary online learning platform to deliver the essential skills to take your finance career to the next level. It's available in a blended format with part-time and full-time enrollment options. The program includes a weeklong Opening Residency in October and a Capstone Global Consulting Project where students present their findings to a real-world client abroad.
