Perfect Fit

Marist is a great school located right along the Hudson River. One of my favorite things about Marist is how easy it is to double major or minor, so you get to study the things you're really interested in. I have gotten to do a lot of field work in the surrounding area, enriching my education and making me feel more connected to the community. Go Red Foxes!

Before I applied to Marist I did their Summer Pre-College Program. I knew at the end of the program that I would be a future red fox. The people at Marist are some of the nicest people you will meet. Every student is dedicated to their academics and the professors are always there to help. There are mutiple clubs and organizations to get involved in. Choosing Marist was one of the best decisions of my life!

Choosing to attend Marist was truly the best decision I have ever made. The community at Marist has become my second family while allowing me the opportunity to grow academically. When I first visited Marist, the community was so friendly, welcoming, and enthusiastic. I am nearly complete with my first semester here and I am saddened I have to leave Marist for winter break; however, I am looking forward to be back for the spring semester. Marist is like a home away from home, it feels like everybody is family here because everyone is kind and helpful. I also love that Marist has many study-abroad opportunities, a beautiful campus, and many extracurricular activities to become involved in.

A great education department

Marist College was a great school for my undergraduate degree. It has a great education program and really focuses on fieldwork experiences. I have had so many opportunities to be in a variety of classrooms, so I have gained a lot of experience and feel comfortable by the time I get to student teaching. After my time here, I am ready to get a different, more challenging experience. I feel as though Marist has provided me with the confidence to take the next step in my career.

Marist has truly provided me with opportunities I would have not been provided with elsewhere, and for that, I will be forever grateful. Particularly, as a student within Marist's Fashion Program, I know I have received so many opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom. I am also fortunate to be involved in Marist's Honors Program as well, which provides students with even more research and academic opportunities. As far as social life, Marist has the most welcoming and accepting students around; it is incredibly easy to make friends through clubs, classes, and just general campus life. Overall, Marist College is a great school, and I am so lucky to go here!

Marist was one of the first schools I ever decided to tour, and from the moment I stepped foot onto the campus I knew it was the place for me. As I wrap up my first semester, I have already met friends that I will keep for a lifetime. The campus is perfectly built on the Hudson River and the views are spectacular. This college has everything that a student could possibly want in a home and more. The students that I pass on my way to class are always very friendly and approachable and best of all, the class sizes are manageable. I really like that I am able to establish a close relationship with my professors. The dining hall offers plenty of options everyday and even has options for students with dietary restrictions. To top it all off, Marist heavily emphasizes its study abroad program and urges almost every student to participate at least once.

Great community and beautiful campus

As a first year student at Marist, my time here so far has been amazing. Everyone I have met has been so welcoming, and the teachers are friendly and always willing to help. Each teacher has specified times for extra help sessions and office hours which is very beneficial. All of the beautiful buildings and the campus setting on the river is truly something that sets Marist apart, especially in this region. Small class sizes have made class time a very personal experience as well. I am so happy with my decision to come here.
