A 30-spot-lead over UMass (our closest competitor) in the public school rankings at the start of the decade, has become a tie at 24. As our tuition and fees continue to rise at a rate far above our competitors, this trend is going to continue. I'm afraid I wasted tens of thousands in out-of-state tuition for a degree that will now be considered inferior to UMass's or Rutgers's.

By far State school on East coast!

Looked at numerous state schools up and down east coast- for a challenging we'll know engineering program. Uconn is by far the most challenging and inclusive. The sense of school pride is beyond reproach. I was in top 5% of my graduating class of 800. And wanted a big school feel with an academically challenging environment- it has been the best decision I've ever made. Husky for life!!

Great experience

My UConn experience was everything I could've asked for and more. Looking back, there is no other school that I feel could've provided me with the academic and social foundation that I received to advance to the next step in my life. The rigor of my Economics degree adequately prepared me for the challenges of my career field in market research. From the passionate husky student and alumni bases to the top tier college sports environment, I am proud to call this school my alma mater and forever home. Go Huskies!
