I have no complaints. Everything about it was spot on.

My not-so-great experience at Princeton

By pranaya, From Florida

My first year at Princeton was mediocre to say the least. I felt like the walls were caving in on me and my classmates were extremely toxic. Wealth is flaunted and stress is extraordinarily high. Some of my friends spending entire nights studying in Firestone have even casually mentioned suicidal thoughts to me. I also felt extremely isolated at Princeton being in virtually the middle of nowhere. If I want to go to the city I have to spend a minimum of $150 for a round trip which I simply can't afford unless I plan ahead once a month max.

Great English class

By Mr. Stockton, From Medford, NJ

I am an English teacher who graduated from college in 1988. I am taking a course in multi-ethnic Literature. It is fantastic. Based on this class I would recommend Princeton as a great place to study English. Also, I have taken a couple Physics courses with a professor who holds a PhD from Princeton. So, I also understand it is excellent for Physics.

Perfect

By 09, From CA

I had a wonderful experience in my time at Princeton. The classes and professors were outstanding (even more so when compared to my experiences at another similarly-ranked university as a graduate student). Even the administration is organized and supportive (a contrast to my experiences at the other school). The undergraduate and alumni communities are diverse and inclusive; I met so many brilliant people I'm proud to call my friends and I meet more every year when I go back for Reunions (yes, I go back every year). I loved the setting, too; picturesque and secluded, safe and historic. I cannot conceive of a more perfect place.

Princeton deberses it's Ranking

By Slugger, Class of '70., From Phoenix, Arizona

It was and remains common knowledge among those who do pay attention that it is much harder to get into Harvard than graduate. The academic requirements are slight. The courses not particularly rigorousand A's and honors are handed out like candy. its reputation is based on its graduate schools and their faculty hardly accessible to the undergraduates. None of which can be said about Princeton. Until recently grades were distributed on the bell curve.

Best Place! Great Community! Great Alumni Experience!

By P93, From Maryland

I graduated from Princeton 25 years ago. I'm African American and came from a working class household. I found a great community there. And as alum there is no better community. We support each other like no other university community

Dream school

By Pton alum, From New York, NY

Princeton is close enough to New York and Philadelphia for you to enjoy all the amenities of major cities without having to suffer the negatives. The campus and town are safe and stunning. There is enough breadth and depth of courses and research for any academic interest you have. The senior thesis makes you an expert in your field and prepares you for graduate school. The professors are world class scholars yet they're accessible to undergrads.

The Very Best

By CLSMHerb Class of '22, From Florida

I am a current student and I have to say Princeton is far more than I ever expected it would be. There are so many helpful and kind people here (outside of the financial aid office) who genuinely want to see you succeed. Most professors and fellow students will go above an beyond with social connections to help you meet your goals. I see now why being here is truly an experience unlike any other that has given me access to a huge network that really is easily accessible.

Can't find a better opportunity anywhere!

By Hank L, Class of 1979, From West Windsor, NJ

This page describes the University well, but misses three items. It doesn't stress how well prepared for the challenges of life you are when you leave. It fails to mention the life-long friendships you will develop with people who will be leaders in their fields some day. And it completely ignores the Bridge Year Program, which deserves an entire review of its own, but, in short, it is a 9-month program, fully funded by the University, that allows a student to defer admission one year and spend that time abroad amassing amazing experiences. And the food is WAY better than when I was there - no more fried shapes & colors!

Best darned place of all

By PR Class of '96, From Baltimore, MD

My acceptance to Princeton changed my life. I still regard those four years as the best of my 40+ of living. I learned, I listened, I grew, and I became the person I am today. I wish everyone had an undergraduate experience like we had.
