Wonderful place to learn & grow

I grew up in the Bourbonnais area and initially didn't want to attend Olivet because it is so close to my home, but a week after moving in, I realized it was the perfect place for me to be. Over my four years at Olivet, I took full advantage of academic opportunities, extracurricular and social activities, study abroad options and the Christian community. My college experience was full of opportunities to grow as a young adult and as a Christian.

Life-Changing Experience

The experience I had at Olivet throughout my four years was life-changing. Having not grown up in a Christian home this was already very new to me. Professors, coaches, friends and family came along me right where I was at and loved me so well. Not only this, but I was stretched and grew in more ways than one as a student, person and professional. I would wish for anyone to experience what I did here at my home away from home.

This university has changed my life for the better. I was challenged here, grew academically, personally, and spiritually, and made the best friendships of my life. This was where I learned what it means to trust God fully, even during difficulties. On a professional level, job opportunities have become realities because of all my professors and peers taught me during my time at Olivet. There's no such thing as a perfect place, but this school was the perfect place for me to be, grow, heal, learn, and live life fully. I'm forever grateful for my time at ONU.

Amazing professors and warm community

The professors at this university were outstanding. They were successful in their field of work, but care about me and my life. They welcomed and encouraged me to talk to them and ask questions. I was a business student at Olivet and I graduated with many outside work experiences. They were able to get me out into the field, as well as help em with my resume, ultimately getting me a job right when I graduated.

Olivet is life changing!

Olivet's amazing community!

The moment I stepped foot on ONU's campus I knew I was home. From the extremely friendly student body, to the intentional faculty members -Olivet went above and beyond in creating a safe and warm community to be a part of. Coming from over 500 miles, ONU became my "home away from home." I look back at my time as an Olivet student and still think those were the best 4 years of my life!

Olivet is amazing!

Olivet has some of the best and most caring professors, they only want to see students succeed. Also, the atmosphere of the campus is beautiful. From the beautiful green grasses to people holding the door for you every where you go, it's great. Don't even get me started on chapel...they are so encouraging and much needed. They're just an amazing time to rest in God's presence after a test or sleepless nights. Olivet really is a place where you feel like you belong.

Top-tier christian university

My siblings and I were the first in our family to attend Olivet Nazarene University. All five of us decided to attend on our own, and each of us had an incredibly unique experience while all benefiting the same. We all had different majors, extra-curricular activities, and even friend groups. It is amazing that one university can have so many opportunities for students. My parents are absolutely thrilled with how it all worked out. We had to make some sacrifices along the way to afford college, but my parents have kept the same sentiment.. "we couldn't afford not to send our kids to Olivet." One of us was enrolled at Olivet for 13 consecutive years, four of us were there at the same time. We developed personally and spiritually, and we are all working in our areas of study. Business, Nursing, Youth Ministry, Child Development, and Recreation and Fitness. We are all involved in our local church and communities as well. It's an amazing place! If you are looking for a high quality education that equips and inspires people to lead lives of success and significance, keep Olivet on your short-list.

Our son loves it

This has been the perfect fit for our son. He's studying business, and has already had intern opportunities and great connections. He loves the athletics and playssoccer too. The student housing is really quite good, and the new dining options are amazing.

Love this place!

I had a terrific college experience. I made lifelong friends, too. I sang in Orpheus Choir and traveled with a singing group. I had opportunities to hone my craft in Chicago, and eventually found employment there. The college is large enough to offer a lot of areas of study, but small enough to feel safe, and family-like.

Excellent Academics in a great setting

As someone living nearby, I've watched the college continue to grow and thrive in the couple of decades since I was a student here. The academics have rapidly expanded and the infrastructure has kept pace with quality faculty hires and new and expanded facilities on campus. The local community is growing as well--when I was a student we were usually on campus with scattered trips to Chicago, but now there's much to offer students here in town. Students seem to be more involved in the local community.
