Not for everyone

This school has a beautiful campus. The downsides are preachy evangelical atmosphere, homogenous student body, poor practical career counseling, and quite pretentious. My advice is to look twice before you buy (it is very expensive).

Amazing campus, super students & professors - A hidden GEM

This school has it all! It is located in Greenville -- a booming cosmopolitan city that offers diverse restaurant selection, a minor league baseball field, and plenty of shops, art and theatre. The airport is a close drive to Greenville and the campus. Furman students are some of the nicest and most friendly that we have encountered. The academics are very rigorous and the professors are very involved and truly care. The Furman campus is rolling and filled with large trees and plenty of green space. Dining options are numerous and the main dining overlooks the lake. The Furman engaged program makes the college unique guaranteeing each student an internship experience while at Furman.
