high-quality academics, nightlife, and people
By AM, Class of 2021, From NY
I am constantly surprised by how intelligent, thoughtful, and kind the other students are, considering how fully we take advantage of New Orleans nightlife. The student body breaks party school stereotypes, and the pool is getting more competitive very quickly, with a 2019 acceptance rate of 13% -- it was 26% when I applied just a couple years ago. The academics are definitely challenging, but worth it for the quality. Plus you'll never get bored. Really glad I chose Tulane!

Work Hard Play Hard
By JM, From Louisiana
Tulane is a great school which is getting more selective and competitive every year. Also they are constantly improving the campus, which is very beautiful and 15min from the French Quarter.

My Tulane experience...fun and profitable!
By JR, Class of 1993, From New Orleans
Went to graduate school at Tulane to get my MBA. Wise choice. Good, solid program with great faculty and beautiful facilities. In fact, TU has been upgrading the campus at a fast pace over the last 20-30 years and while it keeps the same charm it's had since the 1800s it's a pretty modern place. New Orleans is a super place to go to school and I liked it so much I stayed!

Tulane tonight me how to think, not what to think.
By Winston B., Class of 2009, From New Orleans, Louisiana
I had an overall excellent experience as a student at Tulane. I transferred to Tulane in the spring of 2006, which was shortly after Hurricane Katrina devastated the metro New Orleans area. It was one of the best decisions that I've made in my life. Classes were difficult, but structured in a manner in which students engaged with each other and professors and teacher assistants, many of whom were pursuing advanced degrees. Unlike other universities that I previously attended, most of my professors only had two exams per each semester. I actually preferred this to having four or five tests/exams per semester.
