TUFTS IN TUBINGEN JUNIOR YEAR ABROAD

Although I am a Georgetown alum, I did my Jr. Year Abroad with Tufts in Tubingen, Germany. It was the year of my life and the entire set up of the program and local connections and management were first class. All the students were fantastic and I made life long friends. I was a German major and also did a Summer Abroad with Georgetown in Trier, Germany which was fantastic. Tubingen is a top university on a global scale and the experience is a must.

Great education and opportunities

Smaller classes, caring students, great food, top faculty, lots of opportunities to do activities outside of classroom. The location gives one the green setting of a suburb with the close proximity of Cambridge and Boston. Wonderful restaurants in nearby Davis Sq.

Hidden gem of New England

Tufts is a highly underrated school. I applied as a first generation student from a low income background and was fully funded the four years. Opportunities are plentiful and yours for the taking. Upon graduating I worked for two top consulting firms and ended up at Harvard for grad school - overall it changed my life.

student services are awful

Classes were decent, however, the student services department was extremely unhelpful and dishonest. Expect to receive almost no guidance on steps to graduate.

Best Education and Experience I Could Ask For

I'm a senior engineering student. My education has been premier, I have a great job lined up, and I have made incredible friends here. It has been an all around top tier experience. The professors are fantastic, and their doors are always open (very good student to faculty ratio). The social scene is not too bad, there's always fun things to do and Boston is right around the corner. People are very friendly and accepting (and no, I'm not rich). Tufts seems underrated in these rankings. Couldn't ask for a better experience in any way.

A Perfect Mix of Everything

This school is not a liberal arts college nor is it a huge research university. It is rather a mix which seems to have the best of both and the downsides of neither. Some classes are large and some are small. The sports scene is competitive and not overbearing. The campus has beautiful areas and passable ones. It is also worth noting that the academics are incredibly rigorous.

Good liberal arts like university

A beautiful university that's close to Boston. Doesn't feel like a city around the school but it's only a 15 min walk to the nearest T station and there's a shuttle to it as well. Most professors here care about their student, and class sizes are mostly pretty small. Only downside is the price honestly.
