We are parents of a current student, who is very happy at Bates. The student body is friendly and laid back even in the midst of a rigorous academic program, and the faculty are dedicated to teaching. Very glad our child made such a good choice!

World class education. Very rigorous academics - classes are super tough, faculty is amazing and students are brilliant. Unbelievable history of being first New England college to admit women and African American before the emancipation proclamation. Stats speak for themselves. #1 Fullbright producer last year and top 4 this year.
