Bachelors & Masters Teacher's College
By Helen C. c/o 2016 & 2019, From Washington, D.C
Super flexible schedule, very affordable and awesome staff. You do have to work around business hours but it works if you're organized.

Great experience
By David H, From California
I had 2 degrees from B&M schools prior to attending WGU and I wish I could go back in time and go here instead. This school isn't for individuals who need hand holding. They will provide you all the materials you need to get through the program and it's up to you to use them. Because the college is geared towards working adults everything is streamlined to work whenever you have time available. No set time schedules of any kind. If I needed help I could schedule it out with professors and I NEVER had an issue. The personal care was outstanding. I'd do it over again in a heartbeat.

Fantasitc Experience!
By awendli, From TN
I attended three different brick and mortar schools until finding WGU. Hands down the best collegiate experience I've had. Competency based learning is the future! I felt more engaged and more apart of a community than I ever did at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga or Central Texas State. I engage more with my program mentor and the WGU community than I did at other schools. I remember talking to a counselor one time before starting class at UTC and that was the extent of their involvement. If you are a working professional, this place is built for you. Overall a wonderful experience. Can't wait to start my Masters Program here! Go Night Owls!!

Valuable and current learning resources and terrific support
By Phillip B., From Georgia
I have a high opinion of the online educational resources offered at WGU and it's a bit troublesome to see such harsh reviews. It's true that at WGU there are no professors holding your hands, but there are course mentors you can turn to for support. In fact, it's a very easy process to schedule an appointment for a one-on-one with course mentors. The content is up-to-date and employs an easy to use LMS (Learning Management System) with reliable up-time. I'm very happy with WGU.

BEWARE
By Cshrontz, From Denver, CO
Scheduling is a huge problem, if you are not available during the hours of M-F 9-5, you'll be stuck sending emails and requests and waiting for a response. I have been going here for 2 years and you literally have no support nights or weekends. Lets say you're ready to take a test on Saturday morning, but didn't get approved. You are now waiting until 9am on Monday. Complain all you want, they don't care. You get a sympathetic "you can do it" email and thats the end of that. I was held up for weeks because my only days available were Wed/Thurs. This class said they're open late on Wednesdays because the instructor was off Thursdays. "But dont worry, theres a group mail box to reach out to for support" I emailed Wednesday evenings, Thursdays, and never got a response until Friday, 9am. So if you're thinking "24/7 anytime classes" look elsewhere.

It was Good Enough
By APC, From PNW
This is a school for people who have already learned the information at the "school of hard knocks" and now just need a piece of paper saying they have a degree. Though I really enjoyed the competency-based curriculum and could fly through courses that I already had a firm grasp of the principles, it was in the classes where I really needed to learn that the school failed me. When I didn't understand an assignment or concept, the professors or counselors - time and time again - would simply tell me how to get a passing grade on the assignment instead of helping me learn the concept. Again, it's great if you already know the stuff they were going to teach you anyway but you need the degree to progress at work. Overall it was good for me because I was able to finish my graduate degree quickly; I just wish I had learned more while doing so.
