I came to Empire with almost 165 credits to complete my bachelors degree. I have a 10 year work history and wanted a degree that would fit my experience, and planned professional goals. I was able to obtain both an associates, and bachelors degree from Empire. For me because of my academic background the work was not challenging, but still provided a thorough education. ESC gives the ability to create your own degree over several degree types. Although there are mentors, I knew my direction and guided the degree myself with little input from mentorship. There were a few issues such as uneven grading, grades not posted, little instructor feedback, participation. Online learning is not for everyone due to it's self paced nature, and little guidance. Good financial aid, good student resources, etc.
