Smith College User Reviews and Ratings
Great education, diverse learning community
By AMG '77, From NY
Smith provided a great education in the 70's when I attended and Northampton was a dying mill town. The town has much changed (for the better). My daughter applied ED and graduated in 2011. Best "new" feature: Praxis funding for summer internships.

Smith is fantastic
By Heather F class of 1992, From West Orange, NJ
I graduated from Smith and I absolutely made the right decision to attend this incredible school. From the gorgeous campus to the amazing friends I made, from the incredible professors (and let's face it, hours of homework!) and diverse classes, it's a wonderful place.

This place is magical.
By RM, From PA
I am a parent of a recent Smith College graduate. My daughter had a first rate experience there. The faculty, staff, and alumnae supported her, giving her the opportunity to turn hard work in to measurable success. She made close and what I expect will be lifelong friendships with remarkable people. Northampton is the best town in the area and a great place to spend four years. It was always a pleasure to visit. Smith College has houses, not dorms. Each house has its own character, and the Res Life people read your daughter's self-evaluation and preferences, and they put her where they think she will be happiest. When you register her on her first day, her house president and others will welcome her to her new home in a way that will cushion the blow of separation for her and you. This place was great from beginning to end.

Great Opportunities
By BT, From La Crescenta, CA
I have really enjoyed my experience at Smith College so far. The housing system fosters a close community and every professor I've had so far is caring and accessible. Smith has a strong alumni network and offers many resources to make internships and graduate school more accessible. I also personally think the campus is beautiful!
