Graduate students at the University of Missouri’s Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business have four options for their advanced degrees: a master’s of accountancy, the Crosby M.B.A., an executive M.B.A., or a Ph. D. in accountancy or business administration.
While the school’s Crosby M.B.A. is a full-time program, students can enroll on a part-time basis, but must still attend weekday classes. Notable Trulaske alumni include E. Stanley Kroenke, owner and co-owner of multiple professional sports teams, including the Denver Nuggets and St. Louis Rams; and Rodger Riney, founder of the brokerage firm Scottrade. Walmart founder Sam Walton also attended the College of Business as an undergraduate.
execMBA candidates must have five years of professional experience, submit a resume, provide all transcripts and answer three short essay questions with the graduate application. Admission considerations include leadership experience, career progression, goals and motivation, years of experience, responsibility level, undergraduate GPA, and quality of interview. The 21-month program is 75% online and 25% on-campus with only four on-campus academic residencies a year, typically on Fridays/Saturdays, plus an international academic residency (included in program costs). The rigorous curriculum covers a broad range of business topics plus a Professional Advancement Series that complements academic coursework with a focus on leadership and career development through executive coaching, networking socials, workshops and webinars.

On campus, School of Medicine students can cheer on the Missouri Tigers athletic teams, which, as the only Division I teams in the state, are a major focus of campus life.

The Tom and Anne Smith M.D./Ph.D. program, which is named after Columbia residents who are providing financial support for MU students who want to be physician-scientists, usually takes eight years to complete. In the first two years, students in this program do graduate lab school rotations and medical school training. In years three through five, students work on Ph.D. coursework and research; in years six through eight, they complete medical school and their dissertation.
The Office of Continuing Medical Education helps MU med students learn after graduation by hosting events and activities, such as seminars, conferences and symposiums. Graduates can also become members of both the MU Medical Alumni Organization and the Mizzou Alumni Association.
