The Sam M. Walton College of Business at University of Arkansas--Fayetteville (Walton) offers these departments and concentrations: entrepreneurship, finance, health care administration, marketing, management information systems, and supply chain management/logistics. Bearing the namesake of Walmart founder Sam M. Walton, the College of Business at the University of Arkansas—Fayetteville offers management career tracks in retail marketing, supply chain, and financial management. Full-time M.B.A. students at the Walton College of Business pack courses, internships, study abroad experiences, and professional development into a 16-month program.
The school also offers a two-year managerial M.B.A. program for working professionals. The part-time program meets one Saturday each month, and gives students an abbreviated study abroad option. Walton College of Business also offers master’s degrees in Information Systems, Accountancy, and Economics, as well as seven Ph.D. tracks. University of Arkansas—Fayetteville M.B.A. students can combine coursework with research at the school’s various outreach centers.? Through the Center for Retailing Excellence, students can be mentored by executives from companies such as Energizer, Frito Lay, Nielsen, and of course, Walmart. At the school’s Center for Business and Economic Research, students prepare economic profiles of different areas in Arkansas, and provide research and data to businesses and the state. The Supply Chain Management Research Center at the Walton College of Business offers a unique opportunity for female M.B.A. students via Women in Logistics, a student-led organization offering mentoring and networking opportunities with the group’s executive branch. Upon completing the Walton M.B.A. program, job-seeking students look to the more than 300 Fortune 500 companies with offices in northwest Arkansas. Graduates from the Walton College of Business join an alumni community that includes Leland E. Tollett, former chairman and CEO of Tyson Foods, Inc.; and Donald Soderquist, former vice chairman of Walmart.

The Walton College has focused the core curriculum and the career tracks around the retail and CPG industries with special emphasis on the disciplines that figure most prominently in those industries: consumer marketing, finance, supply chain management, and entrepreneurship. Customizable career tracks for non-profit and sustainability are available as well.
The executive curriculum provides focus study areas in retail, supply chain innovation/entrepreneurship, finance and business analytics, and healthcare. Students select one focus area in addition to completing the core curriculum.

Students, faculty members, and staffers make up the Law School Community Life Committee, which coordinates social events, service projects, and other activities for the legal community. To get further involved, students might consider joining a variety of law school organizations, including the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association and the Environmental Law Society. There may also be opportunities for qualified law students on school journals, including the Arkansas Law Review, the Journal of Food Law and Policy, and the Journal of Islamic Law and Culture.
For an international experience, law students can take advantage of several study abroad programs. Along with the University of Mississippi School of Law, the University of Tennessee College of Law, and the University of Nebraska College of Law, the University of Arkansas School of Law sends students to study at Cambridge University for six weeks. There is also a program available at the St. Petersburg Summer Law Institute in Russia, and a school-organized program in Belize.
