The University of Buffalo—SUNY was founded in 1846, and its first president was U.S. President Millard Fillmore, who continued his role at UB as he served in the White House. In 1923, the UB School of Management was established, and today, its students can enjoy the university’s North campus in the suburb of Amherst, which is home to natural beauty such as Lake LaSalle and Letchworth Woods. School of Management students can connect with the greater University of Buffalo community by attending one of the many school-sponsored performances, cheering on the Division I Buffalo Bulls athletic teams, or joining one of the more than 300 clubs and organizations.

In the classroom, graduate students in the UB School of Management can earn an M.S. in accounting, finance, management information systems, or supply chain and operations managements. Buffalo business students also have several ways to earn an M.B.A. Students can earn a full-time M.B.A., and people already working in the field can pursue the Professional M.B.A., which consists of weekday evening classes and takes about 33 months to complete.

The Executive M.B.A. at the UB School of Management is designed for professionals with significant business experience who complete the program in 22 months through weekend classes. The Executive UB School of Management M.B.A. is not only offered in Amherst, but in Singapore as well.

Besides academics, UB business students can volunteer to help local businesses through the Community Engagement Fair, explore opportunities at the school’s Career Resource Center, or join the School of Management’s many organizations, such as the UB Stock Market Club. Notable alumni of the UB School of Management include John Alm, former CEO of Coca-Cola Enterprises, and Millard Drexler, CEO of J. Crew Group.
