The Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University (Ivy) offers these departments and concentrations: accounting, finance, marketing, management information systems, supply chain management/logistics, and tax. Its tuition is full-time: $12,494 per year (in-state); full-time: $27,892 per year (out-of-state); part-time: $695 per credit (in-state); executive: $65,000 total program (in-state); specialty master's: $695 per credit (in-state); and specialty master's: $1,550 per credit (out-of-state). At graduation, 69 percent of graduates of the full-time program are employed.

Graduate students at Iowa State University’s College of Business can get a master’s and Ph.D. in human-computer interaction via an interdepartmental program. Students pursuing this track use research and practical application to understand how implementing new hardware or computer applications in the workplace affects employees. Research efforts for the program are housed at several on-campus labs, including the Virtual Reality Applications Center and the HCI User Experience Lab.

In addition to the human-computer interaction program, the College of Business at Iowa State offers master of science degrees in information assurance, seed technology and business, and information systems. Students aiming for an M.B.A. can choose among full-time, part-time, or collaborative options. Full-time students complete their degrees in two years at the school’s main campus in Ames, and part-time students attend evening classes in nearby Des Moines for their core coursework. Students can maximize their time at Iowa State University by combining an M.B.A. with an M.S. in information systems or a doctor of veterinary medicine from Iowa State’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

Outside of the classroom, students can gain global experience via optional, study abroad trips to China, Italy, Denmark, or London; or sharpen their problem-solving skills at case study competitions. M.B.A. students from Iowa State took home the top prize at the Big 12 conference case competitions in 2010 and 2011.
