The Michael F. Price College of Business at University of Oklahoma (Price) offers these departments and concentrations: arts administration, entrepreneurship, finance, health care administration, management information systems, and technology. Its tuition is full-time: $34,000 total program (in-state); full-time: $54,000 total program (out-of-state); part-time: $27,000 total program (in-state); and part-time: $42,000 total program (out-of-state). At graduation, 48.30 percent of graduates of the full-time program are employed.
At University of Oklahoma, students in the Michael F. Price College of Business study in Norman, located in the center of the state and about 20 miles south of Oklahoma City. OU business students can connect with the university community by cheering on the OU Sooners athletic teams, which compete in the NCAA Division I, or by exploring the university’s more than 300 student organizations and large Greek-life presence.
Students at OU’s Price College of Business can check out its Distinguished Speaker Series, which brings in top-level business professionals, or visit with the executive in residence, who speaks to the college’s students, faculty, and administrators about his or her specialized field. (One past executive-in-residence was Mark Smith, chief financial officer of Ultra Petroleum.)
Business students can also take advantage of networking opportunities, mentors, workshops, and panels with alumni of the Price College’s network of about 28,000 graduates.
In the classroom, full-time graduate students at Price College of Business can earn an M.B.A. in 16 months, and working part-time students can pursue the professional M.B.A. program on the OU Oklahoma City campus in about 30 months. M.B.A. students can choose to specialize in energy, finance, entrepreneurship, management information systems, or risk management.
At the OU Price College, graduate students can also earn master’s degrees in accountancy and management information systems, as well as several dual degree programs, including one that combines an M.B.A. with a B.S. in petroleum engineering. Graduate students of the Price College of Business can join the Graduate Business Association, which helps students build leadership skills, fundraise, and network.
