I love my school!

By Anna, class of 2020, From Rochester, NY

I have loved most of my experiences here at RIT. My professors have been caring, my classes have been interesting, there are a plethora of clubs, the campus is becoming more and more beautiful, and I've been able to dabble in athletics with awesome coaches. Academics can be stressful at times. I wouldn't recommend coming here for liberal arts, but the LA classes I've taken for a minor in anthropology have been intriguing.

Pristine Engineering Education

By Steve, Class of 2018, From NY

RIT was one of the better decisions I've made in my life. I received a comprehensive hands-on computer engineering education with real world experience through the co-op program. The social life is not as bad as some make it out to be. RIT really goes out of their way to organize events etc. It is also quite easy to make friends and parties etc are plentiful as long as you know where to go. It's unlikely that you can just walk down the street and stumble into a party like Syracuse or one of the more popular party schools. All in all, this institution offers phenomenal education, sets you up for success in your career and has some of the smartest people I have ever met.

Best place for Design and Technical Education.

By Cheesetea,Class of 2023, From Dhaka,Bangladesh

I completed my freshman year here at RIT. My major is Biomedical Engineering and I absolutely loved it here. There are tons of opportunities for personal and social growth in RIT. The campus is huge and magnificent. The students here are more friendly than most schools in NY as everyone is under a lot of academic pressure hence they would want to have fun with you by any means. Academics is very difficult yet enjoyable. RIT is love!

Excellent Graphic Design Education

By TigerMom, From Massachusetts

Our daughter attends RIT, and has received a top notch graphic design education. While co-ops are not required for this major, the fact that RIT is a co-op school pushed her to find excellent summer work in her field, so she has real-world work in her portfolio. From a parent's perspective, RIT provided significantly more financial aid than any of the other stand-alone art schools did; the facilities are top notch; the focus on technology integration is preparing her for a job that she will love. The only drawback is that it snows a lot! Also, the percentage of male/female attendees is skewed, and I highly recommend getting involved in clubs and/or a sorority to meet other young women on campus. A sorority was never on her radar, but she joined, and is so happy to have a large group of female friends. Great school! (Below I ranked the City as a "3" as RIT is located in a suburb of Rochester - just down the road there are a lot of stores, and it is "meh")

Best choice!

By Cherie, From Tennessee

My daughter is currently at RIT and she could not be more happy with her choice! She is challenged daily to be better and to do better. The school has all the latest technology to help her advance in New Media Design. She tells me every day that this was the very BEST choice for her and she couldn't be happier. This is one incredible school.
