Buried in the city like Newark. It is a good school with lots of money, thus generous on scholarship, etc. Admins and professors are quite accessible. Happy with the school.

Practice what you preach
By Yuri, From New Jersey
Terrible customer service. Most of the courses in quality teach us about maintaining a high level of customer service. This school just doesnt care about your experience or if you have a problem with a course or professor. Once they collect your tuition, they do not want to hear from you again with any issue that you may be having. Spend the extra money, goto Rutgers!

Great school, know what you are getting into
By John B, Class of 2020, From New Jersey
NJIT is a great school. The classes are challenging and students are nice. The students are very focused on their academics. Some people come into NJIT freshman year and think its is like Rutgers or Penn State, there isn't much school spirit tbh and alot of students commute. You can still have a lot of fun at NJIT, but know what you are getting into, which is a lot of class work.

NJIT Prof Comments
By NJIT Prof, From Newark, NJ
As an NJIT Prof, I truly respect my students. NJIT is easy to get into, but it's very hard to graduate from. Those who do go far.

Number 1 school in the world.
By Piotr R, Senior Dec 2018, From Woodbridge NJ
NJIT is the best higher education institute by far. Surviving the challenges of the constant bombardment of homeworks, labs, and common exams can sound daunting at any institution, but especially at NJIT, a place where objective truth is sought after so much. Your ideology is pressed, and prepare to defend any opinions you have with published studies or even peer reviewed periodicals. It can be fun too, I mean the food's great, and in general the atmosphere is very rewarding you just gotta go for it.

@ NJIT you get the best value for dollar.
By eddie, From jackson, nj
I'm currently a senior here and NJIT is without a doubt a great school for mechanical engineering. It's a challenging program, but the professors are very helpful and most know how to teach unlike other colleges and/or universities. The career fairs are awesome and I still don't know anyone who hasn't gotten an intern or job here. I want to also add that the makerspace lab is top notch and I'm very excited to attend the required class to use the lab.
