horrible school
By No name, From Scranton, PA
The school is horrible. The staff is almost all Professors unwilling to work with you. I have never felt as though I have a voice at this school and I've reached out multiple times asking for help

Great community, academics are what you make of it
By R 2016, From White Plains, NY
I had a really amazing experience at Marywood, but I know that many people did not. If we're talking strictly academics, MU has some room for improvement. I majored in Bio and had some really great professors. I even got to do CRISPR in one of my lab classes. I also had some professors that really were a waste of time and money. But that's with any college. Make the best of it, push yourself above the schools expectations. Where I really thrived was my ability to grow. MU spends a lot of time in their Freshman orientation courses to try to set up a meaningful experience. The required religion classes aren't there to try to convert you, but rather to open up dialogue about different belief systems and how ethics plays into our lives. I loved living near Scranton too— an up and coming arts scene, suuuper cute coffee shops, great yoga studios (Wonderstone Gallery!!!!!) and some great bars. Some of the rules are antiquated there (especially in the freshman dorms) but I honestly didn't mind. Def worth it for me, I walked away with lifelong friends and was able to get a job in my field.
