It is what it is

HC has amazing professors, and if you're focused and willing to invest your energy into the campus life it's worth it. I went there as a C student with no prospects and left an A student who went on to get my MA in Ireland. The trick is, it's a small city that feels like a small town: small town politics and decisions based on nostalgia rather than reality. So you either have to be willing to get in and fight for what you believe in or be very good at hunkering down and getting your degree. Boredom and frustration can set in easily otherwise. That said, it is a good school trying to find its way in a rough educational market. Does it have room for improvement? Yes. Is it worth it? Also yes.
