Brigham Young University--Idaho User Reviews and Ratings
Okay
By James., Class of 2018, From Provo, UT
BYU is an alright School, but I wopruld not recommend it to someone who is looking to socialize as the school has a strict culture. Not much to do except stay in your dorm.

BYU-I is the Best!
By JMI, class of 2021, From Blackfoot, Idaho
I love BYU-Idaho. The professors are very qualified and all around good people, the classroom setting is uplifting and personal, the campus is absolutely beautiful, the cost of tuition and living expenses is very cheap for a private university of it's size and reputation, and fellow classmates are friendly and outgoing. I would recommend BYU-I to anyone!

Strict and Boring
By Josh., Transfer Student, From Portland, OR
Because this school is a religious institution, it is strict with respect to rules. The dorms are tiny. Bottom line it's a school in the middle of nowhere.

Lots of Forced Mormon Doctrine, But Solid Curriculum
By JD, From Boise, ID
A mormon school that will try to assimilate it's student body. If you can ignore the over-the-top forced doctrine, the school has a lot to offer. The CompE/EE faculty were thorough in teaching and really helped me to hit the ground running in my career. I had a well paying job lined up 6mos before graduation. The university offers a good education at really inexpensive price. Rexburg is a small town, but like all the mountain west, Rexburg isn't too far from great hunting, fishing, and camping.

Average
By Allan., Class of Transfer, From Seattle, Washington
BYU-I is an average school. The classes are alright. The social life, however, is not what I had in mind. BYU is in the middle of nowhere. I ended up movingly back to WA to attend a different because BYU-I has no social content.

Mediocre at best
By John D, From Moscow, ID
The students at this school are somewhat friendly. There is not much to do around because the school is located in a remote area. Professors are alright I suppose. In conclusion, I will not be returning for a second year.

Okay School
By Barbara D., From Salt Lake City, Utah
BYU-I is an average school. Not much to do in Rexbourg, ID. Additionally, the school has a strict conduct code. Some professors do not seem to care about the students. I ended up transferring to a different school after one year.
