Franklin University User Reviews and Ratings
graduating in 4 months; highly recommend Franklin
By Class of 2020, From Ohio
I am halfway through my senior year and on track to graduate in January 2020 with a double major in Business Administration and Financial Management. Classes are challenging but the professors are usually very helpful. All the professors work or have worked for lengthy periods of their lives in the profession which they teach. This enables them to give real-life, real-time advice about the material we are learning. I took some classes at Columbus State Community College with Franklin as my homeschool and was able to easily transfer them in as Franklin is very accommodating to transfer students. With a combination of applying for the FAFSA and other small grants, I stacked a combination of both Franklin and CSCC classes into every semester so that I could keep my costs a bit lower overall. Only downsides (which didn't apply to me anyway) is that they don't have on-campus housing or many social events. Franklin caters more toward adults who are working and who may also already have families. At first, I was a bit nervous because their graduation time frame took so much longer, but I soon realized that most Franklin students (including myself) were working in addition to taking classes so it always went slower because we actually do need sleep. Overall, it's been a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Franklin University if you are considering earning a degree.

A practical, hidden option for higher education
By Mike, From OH
About me: I am an adult student who has been to NINE colleges in the past 16 years. One went bankrupt, two were while I was stationed overseas in the military, one was before I enlisted in the military, three were before the recession post-military, and the last two were after the recession. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The classes are taught by real-world professionals. For example, one of my instructors for one of my financial planning courses actually worked at Chase at the time I took the course! I felt more confident in the course to have it be taught by someone who was working with the subject matter regularly. Franklin offers both traditional and online classes. These options make it easier for someone such as myself who has a more unique schedule than most traditional students. Even with the diversity of classes, I am still able to get to know students and develop professional bonds with others in my degree field. Franklin does not offer campus housing, though there are private housing options close by for those who wish to walk to classes. In the heart of Columbus, Franklin is close to numerous restaurants. However, it does not offer food services on campus.
