What rank do graduating cadets come out as when they enlist in the army?

If a cadet formally contracts with one of the ROTC programs and fulfills all their requirements while completing their bachelors degree, they will enter their service as a junior officer and be commissioned as a 2/LT in the Army, Air Force & Marines or an ensign in the Navy. They are not "enlisting". If an individual enlists, they are generally entering as a private or very junior grade enlisted service member.
