Best Decision I Ever Made

WVU is an incredible experience and a wonderful place to go to school. It offers the opportunity to utilize the resources of a big university, to meet a wide variety of people, and has endless options for exploring your life's passions. WVU gave me the tools I needed to pursue the career I wanted.

It's just okay

There are some good but mostly bad things about this university. First off football rules over everything. That means parking to get to class isn't as important as shutting down the lot for tailgating. Also there is not enough parking even when other events are going on so have fun walking to class. The prt although in theory a great idea that could help tremendously is extremely inconsistent and can leave you running into class late even when you arrive on campus an hour early. Finally, there is a very strong attitude of not caring about the students from those higher up. The professors (especially those in the ag college)while there are some exceptions have been some of the best people I have ever met and have taught me so much.

One of the best value educations you can get

WVU continues to be one of the most affordable options for a multitude of university programs. I attended WVU's Engineering School many years ago and have found myself to be well prepared to be successful in my professional life. The growth at the school astounds me and the changes to the school are outstanding as it grows. President Gee is doing an outstanding job evolving the University.

Great University

I will never understand why WVU obtains lower rankings by USN and WR. I have attended 3 other universities, all in the top 85 rankings, obtaining other degrees. WVU was as challenging if not more than any other, and I believe this university demands more of their students. Perhaps because they have to accept some students who would not qualify at other universities, but many of those fail out by year's end. Who knows, but this university is so much greater than given credit. I would recommend it to any serious student.

Reason Why I Got A Job In My Field Of Study

Got My degree in WM. My employer favored three universities for positions. WVU, Penn State U, University of Maine. Started as summer employee and then offered a full time job that was available 6 months later. Spent 21 years with state government where I was promoted multiple times because of my training at WVU.
