Shanghai Livingston American School is an international, college preparatory school with 600+ students from Nursery to Grade 12; with a majority of teachers certified and highly qualified from the U.S. SLAS is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. SLAS uses Common Core aligned California curriculum in its classrooms. 學校描述
本校是一所提供2歲至18歲學生的教育場所，我們的課程安排是完全依照由小學教育開始到初中高中的國際標準課程。我校吸引了眾多居住于上海的國際學生就讀，學生因而有機會接觸各種不同的世界文化。
本校自從于 2001 年由美國議員 Robert Livingston (羅伯特?李文斯頓) 先生創(chuàng)立以來，我校教職員工與學生、家長之間所建立起的合作精神已完全深植我校文化。學校以及學生家庭之間的聯(lián)系是非常重要的，因為一個學生的進步與成長是靠著學生本人、學校、和家長之間共同努力出來的結(jié)果，因此，我校定期進行考試、寄送學生成績給家長，在家長會、學生代表會、父母老師學生組織 (PTSA) 會議等場合，我們有很多機會可檢視、討論學生的學習狀況。本校的教學內(nèi)容雖然非常嚴格、具挑戰(zhàn)性，但也提供給學生最大的支援與協(xié)助。本校旨在發(fā)展學生主動尋求答案的精神并鼓勵學生勇于創(chuàng)新。 本校每個班平均有18位學生，每位學生皆可受到老師更多的關(guān)注而能發(fā)揮其更大的潛能。嚴謹?shù)膶W術(shù)課程以及生動有趣、實際動手做、與日常生活貼切的學習活動，是我校的教學宗旨。我們的教育目標在于提供學生必要的知識技能以讓他們不僅僅能生存，還能在這個快速變化的環(huán)境中表現(xiàn)卓越。我們鼓勵每一個學生將其潛能完全發(fā)揮出來、主動積極進取，為他們?nèi)蘸蟮拇髮W教育及未來生涯打好基礎(chǔ)。
