The Miami Herbert Business School at University of Miami offers these departments and concentrations: accounting, consulting, economics, entrepreneurship, ethics, finance, general management, health care administration, human resources management, international business, leadership, marketing, management information systems, production/operations management, organizational behavior, real estate, supply chain management/logistics, quantitative analysis/statistics and operations research, tax, and technology. Its tuition is full-time: $2,170 per credit. At graduation, 66.70 percent of graduates of the full-time program are employed.

The University of Miami School of Business Administration is housed in a complex that surrounds a tropical courtyard, with outdoor seating along the waterway. Business students can enjoy the warm Florida weather from campus, or as they visit popular nearby destinations such as Fort Lauderdale, South Beach, the Florida Keys, and Everglades National Park. The sunny weather is not only ideal for recreational fun, but UM is also an international business hub, well suited for students interested in learning about global business management.

Graduate students at the UM School of Business have several options for earning an M.B.A. or M.S. The standard, full-time M.B.A. program consists of 56 credits, and the M.B.A. for Working Professionals is made up of about 48 credits. The Executive M.B.A. is designed for professionals with about a decade of experience, who take classes on Saturdays in one of three Florida locations—on the main campus, in Tampa, or in Palm Beach—or in Puerto Rico.

Experienced professionals can also pursue the Executive M.B.A. in Health Sector Management and Policy, or the Global Executive M.B.A., which consists of classes taught in Spanish and is designed for Latin-American executives. UM business students can also explore the one-year M.B.A. program, which is made up of 35 credits and 20 courses. The UM School of Business also offers graduate degrees in accounting and in taxation.

After graduation from the School of Business, UM alumni have many opportunities to network, as well as recruit and mentor students. Notable Miami University School of Business alumni include Jack Creighton, former CEO of United Airlines; and Michael Misiorski, CFO and senior vice president of Bacardi North America.
