OHSU operates dozens of centers and institutes on campus, including the OHSU Knight Cardiovascular Institute and the Oregon Stroke Center. Students typically live in the surrounding areas of Portland.

Outside of class, students have access to the March Wellness and Fitness Center and can check out student organizations like the Dermatology Interest Group and Christian Medical and Dental Association. About 80 percent of medical students are from Oregon.
