Curricula Descriptions

Full-time program

The Duke MBA offers a rigorous curricula in general management, and optional concentrations or certificates in 19 academic or interdisciplinary fields. The Accelerated Daytime MBA students, who have completed their core coursework before entering, will achieve depth in an interest area through elective offerings. Certain aspects of the Daytime MBA curriculum began transitioning in 2020, with retooled and new classes, to address three over-arching themes: technology-driven transformation, entrepreneurial mindset and action, and creating common purpose in a world of differences.

Executive program

Duke University offers a Global Executive MBA program (which consists of domestic & international multiple-day residencies). This working professional program offers the same MBA degree as the Daytime MBA, with the Global EMBA focusing on developing students' global awareness. A rigorous general management curricula & optional concentrations in energy, entrepreneurship & innovation, finance, marketing, strategy, & certification in health sector management are available to all Global Executive MBAs.
