Curricula Descriptions

Full-time program

This program offers courses in a one year rotation. Classes are designed to offer a high level of classroom interaction. The program begins every Fall semester. Whereas most other programs take two years to complete, students in this program are able to enter the workforce a year earlier.

The MBA is a 46 credit hour program with 1 credit of leadership and professional development coursework, 9 credit hours of preparatory courses, 24 credit hours of core courses, 9 credit hours or elective, and 3 credit hours of strategy as capstone course. Students can take all electives in a certain content to earn a concentration in Finance, Marketing, Global Supply Chain Management, and Food Marketing.

The MS in Finance is a 30-credit hour program requiring additional preparatory courses in calculus, accounting, Excel, statistics, and economics. Students with undergraduate courses in content in the preparatory area will be waived from the requirement. All students must complete the following finance courses (12 credit hours): Corporate Finance Investments Financial Institutions and Markets or Money, Banking, and the Economy Portfolio Undergraduate finance majors that have completed the courses listed above are eligible to substitute other finance classes. In addition to the required courses, students complete 18 credit hours of electives in finance, approved Data Analytic courses, or approved accounting courses. Students choosing to concentrate with electives can completed electives in Investment Research, Risk Management, and Data Analytics.
