The Justice Center students represent clients in 4 in-house clinics, 1 hybrid, 3 external clinics and over 170 field placements. Students can spend a semester working in a government agency or public interest law office through the Semester in Practice and the City Semester Programs. The Government Law Center introduces students to policy analysis and provides opportunities for public service.
Albany Law School students engage in a range of co- and extra-curricular activities. The law school supports three academic journals and a robust moot court program, which provides students with an opportunity to participate in inter and intra-school moot court competitions. Albany Law School also supports an active pro bono program and a variety of student organizations.

The main facility is a 5-story structure built in 1928. In 1967 2 wings were added; in 1986 a 43,000 sq. ft. library facility was opened; in 2001 an $8M renovation project was completed upgrading the infrastructure and building accessibility. In 2000 a 45,000 sq.ft. building was completed - it houses the Clinic, Government Law Center, classrooms, and administrative offices.
