The Justice Center students represent clients in 4 in-house clinics, 1 hybrid, 3 external clinics and over 170 field placements. Students can spend a semester working in a government agency or public interest law office through the Semester in Practice and the City Semester Programs. Albany Law School students engage in a range of co- and extra-curricular activities. The law school supports three academic journals and a robust moot court program, which provides students with an opportunity to participate in inter and intra-school moot court competitions. The main facility is a 5-story structure built in 1928. In 1967 2 wings were added; in 1986 a 43,000 sq. ft. library facility was opened; in 2001 an $8M renovation project was completed upgrading the infrastructure and building accessibility. In 2000 a 45,000 sq.ft. building was completed - it houses the Clinic, Government Law Center, classrooms, and administrative offices.
