Oregon Institute of Technology User Reviews and Ratings

Horrible School

By Alex, From Klamath Falls

OIT is a horrible school. They only care about your money and could care less about teaching you. You teach yourself basically. The professors have no time for you out side of class. They are snarky and will only do things for you if you're one of their favorites. Way too much politics involved here and the professors make it very clear.

Do not attend OIT

By Anonymous, From Klamath Falls

OIT is NOT for the student. You are a paycheck to them. They do not care about you or your education. Their programs are filled with unprofessional, discriminating professors who will not put in the extra work to make you succeed. There is no second chances if you fail. They will kick you out in a hot second. The dean won't even listen to your side as the student. She will back up the professors 100% without even knowing the full situation. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL AT ALL.

Unfriendly

By Junior, From Oregon

Campus life is unfriendly. They push blue zone project which forces not only healthy food but very expensive. Security has been disarmed so safety is not something OIT cares about. Little to no parking. Advisors will not meet with you for almost an entire month if at all.

Prospective Transfer Student

By Jacob, From Beaverton

Just came for a tour at the Klamath Falls campus. I am a transfer student from PCC looking into the Computer Engineering program. My tour guide was actually in the same major I'm interested in, so it was nice to meet someone in the classes already. He showed me the awesome labs, and the peer tutoring center. I was a little worried about moving to a small town, but my tour guide gave me some recommendations on things to do and see in Klamath Falls. I think the hiking trails so close to campus will be the perfect thing for me. Hopefully I get in!

New Grad

By Rebecca H., From Boise, ID

Graduated with my bachelor's in Healthcare Management last June. I really enjoyed my time at Oregon Tech over the past four years. Klamath Falls has been a great community to be a part of. I truly enjoyed the farmer's markets in the spring, and the outdoor activities available. The small community welcomed students with open arms and I was able to have long term internships with the organizations in town. I can't wait to visit Oregon Tech again as an Alumni.

Being an Oregon Tech Parent

By Barbara, From Portland, OR

Just dropped my daughter off at OIT. I came for a tour a few months ago and met with one of the students in their medical imaging programs. I know that my daughter is in good hands with the small class sizes and great professors at the school. I'm looking forward to Parent's Weekend, and getting to explore more of southern Oregon with my daughter in the future.
