World-Class University
By Le, Class of 2020, From La Jolla, California
The university is known for its academic and research-oriented culture. While it is STEM heavy, the other fields are by no means subpar and UCSD does have strengths in many humanities and social science majors. The university is currently trying very hard to improve the college experience of undergraduates by adding more programs and services. Also the beautiful weather is a plus and studying next to the beach never gets old.

Excellent Education and an Ultra-Valuable Degree
By Sean, Class of 2018, From San Diego, CA
The education I received at UC San Diego was simply brilliant. Nearly every class, especially the classes related to your major, are intriguing yet challenging. The professors, most of whom are high-profile researchers who are well recognized in academia and beyond, genuinely care about their students' learning and give their students the skills to not only to succeed in their careers but make changes in our world. And as a recent UCSD grad who has just been employed at Google and who has many other friends from school who now work at similar companies, I can say from first-hand experience that the world's top businesses and corporations love recruiting UC San Diego alumni.

UCSD is amazing
By Billy, From san diego
A school that is filled with opportunity and an amazing view too! It's right on the Ocean and has a great social atmosphere. Even without a football team it's still a great place to be with the many festivals and concerts and surrounding bars. It also doesn't hurt that it has one of the greatest research facilities in the world and teachers who are incredibly qualified.

Great for rigorous studies
By Nick, From San Diego
UCSD is a great s school because of its small college system as long as you have academics as your priority and you want to pursue a graduate degree. The only applied bachelors degrees would be in engineering

Great STEM school with fantastic teachers
By RS, From Palos Verdes Estates, CA
The university, esp. the Computer Science/Engineering school, is superb in every way and is providing an excellent education for my future. Most of the professors are excellent teachers, and the support system for the students to succeed is second to none imo.
