Try in get them in as soon as possible, junior year at best but if you retake take the SAT your senior year like i did all you have to do is call the academy and theyll enter the score in for you.

Do I have an advantage if I am an IB student? Or does it not matter if I am AP or IB student?

I would not necessarily say advantage since most students here take AP classes during highschool as well as everyone that's applying, but it does strengthen your profile

To put it into perspective, most midshipmen at the Naval Academy were AP/IB students. Taking those classes will help put you on the same level as other applicants, but it will not give you a clear advantage.
