Perfect for the Adult Student

Ohio Christian University staff and instructors were very accommodating with the balance of life, work and school. Instructors are active members in the field in which they are leading the course. I was able to learn from people who have been in the field for years, and have high accolades in their profession. The instructors take the time to get to know students and make them feel like they are valued. The online degree program for Substance Abuse Counseling is amazing. It's exactly what is needed to for the field. I just wish they had a master's program.

Incompetent Staff

The 5-week adult education format was great and I had some great professors. However, the staff at OCU consistently failed to do their job. Our cohort was almost canceled two different times because our advisor forgot to sign us up for classes. Then I got billed for the exact same class two different times. The issues and errors go on and on. You'd think they would stop after I graduated but NO - they find a way to reverse a scholarship payment that was made over a year prior. Then they send me a collections notice 6 months after I graduated so that I have to contact the scholarship agency and get check copies to prove that they processed the payment. This school is a total mess. :(
